ABIG X JD LYMON PRESS RELEASE

ABIG Health and JD Lymon Group Form Strategic Affiliation to Guide Medical Device Innovators From Clearance to Adoption

Medical device and health technology companies gain one coordinated team for regulatory, reimbursement, market access and commercialization strategy across the total product lifecycle.

WASHINGTON & MINNEAPOLIS — NOV. 2, 2026

ABIG Health and JD Lymon Group today announced a strategic affiliation joining two teams of senior healthcare executives to support medical device and health technology innovators across the total product lifecycle.

Early-stage innovators rarely stall on technology. More often, they stall on fragmented advice. Regulatory and reimbursement guidance frequently comes from separate firms that never compare notes, and a decision made for seeking authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), such as a trial design, the regulatory pathway chosen, an endpoint or an indication, can weaken the coding, coverage and adoption case later. Multiple contracts and onboarding cycles delay the start of work, and scarce capital goes to coordinating vendors and redoing analyses.

The affiliation is designed to remove that friction by combining complementary strengths. Now, our clients can access the expertise of both firms, addressing issues across the entirety of the product lifecycle all the way to adoption:

01

Clinical scenario and market strategy: defining the clinical use case and target market up front

02

Evidence planning: designing studies that serve FDA, CMS, commercial payers and clinicians together

03

Regulatory strategy: FDA pathway decisions tested against their impact on reimbursement

04

Reimbursement: coding, coverage and payment strategy

05

Market access and launch: payer engagement, value story and commercialization

06

Adoption, engagement and growth: clinician uptake and business strategy

"Companies stall when advice arrives in pieces and nobody owns the whole pathway," said Adam Brown, MD, MBA, Managing Partner at ABIG Health. "ABIG Health and JD Lymon are two teams that inform one strategy and one plan, so the decisions a company makes for FDA are already working for payers, clinicians and investors."

"Our clients have asked for a partner who can see around corners," said Jolayne Devers, Partner and Founder at JD Lymon Group. "Bringing JD Lymon's expertise in commercial payer coverage, coding and payment together with ABIG Health's clinical and regulatory leadership gives them one coordinated team."

"FDA authorization is not coverage," said Steven Farmer, MD, PhD, Senior Partner at ABIG Health and former Chief Strategy Officer for coverage determinations at CMS. "Too many promising technologies reach the market without the evidence payers need to say yes. Planning for coverage from the first study design is the most capital-efficient way to get a device to the patients who need it."

"For an emerging company, every month and every dollar matters," said John McInnes, MD, JD, Partner at JD Lymon Group. "Working as one team means our clients spend less time managing vendors and more time moving toward adoption."
